Tatiana Niembro

Working for the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory at the Center for Astrophysics Harvard & Smithsonian in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is originally from Mexico and she studied physics, her Masters and PhD in Space Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México -UNAM-. Since 2008, she has been studying the atmosphere of the Sun. She started studying the coronal heating problem, and got fascinated by coronal mass ejections, solar storms, and space weather. At CfA, she analyzes data from SWEAP aboard Parker Solar Probe, a spacecraft with the mission to get us as close as we can to the Sun, in a few years, almost “touchdown”. She likes engaging in public and educational activities.
