Theodor Doll

Theodor Doll received the Diploma degree in physics at Munich University, Munich, Germany, in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Bundeswehr Universität Munich, Munich, Germany, in 1995. In 1996, he had a postdoctoral position with Universidad de Chile, Santiago. In 1997, he was Assistant Professor in micro systems in Munich University and in 1998 a Visiting Associate at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena. In 2000, he was appointed Full Professor in solid state electronics at Technical University of Ilmenau, Ilmenau, Germany, and 2002 Director of the Center of Micro- and Nanotechnologies (ZMN) there. Since 2004, he has been Managing Scientific Director and Professor of microstructure physics at the Institut für Mikrotechnik Mainz (IMM), Mainz, Germany. His research interests are micro- and nanotechnology focusing on chemical sensing, polymer systems, nano-optics and three-dimensional microstructures.
