Bio
Tim Wernicke received the Diploma degree in physics from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin,
Berlin, Germany, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree from the Technische Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 2010,
for his work on the epitaxy of nonpolar and semipolar (Al,Ga,In)N devices conducted at the Ferdinand-Braun-Institut,
Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik. Since 2010, he has been with the Group Leader for epitaxy and
the Chair of Experimental Nanophysics and Photonics Group, Technische Universität Berlin held by Prof. Dr. M.
Kneissl. His main research interests include the growth and characterization of III-nitride materials and devices such
as laser diodes and UV LEDs.
