Tobias Schmidt was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1983. He received the Diploma degree from the Technical University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 2011, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree. He is currently working as a Research Assistant with the Technical University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany. He worked on the project CARE-X—Change detection analysis for the monitoring of Natura 2000 habitats using RapidEye and TerraSAR-X satellite data and on the project Habit-Change—Adaptive management of climate-induced changes of habitat diversity in protected areas with the Geoinformation in Environmental Planning Laboratory, Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning, Technical University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany. His research interests include multitemporal analysis of high spatial resolution imagery for the monitoring of Natura 2000 habitats.
