Bio
Torsten Solf is senior research scientist at Philips and project leader for PETIMR since 2006 in the department of molecular imaging systems. Before joining Philips in 1999, he worked on an intracardiac US system on a catheter tip for RF-ablation and US-monitoring. After improving the temporal response of a-Si-Xray detectors for the cath-Iab, he has built up a PET electronics simulation tool to simplify and verify PET readout systems starting in 2001. As research coordinator, he specified and tested integrated electronics for ToF-PET since 2004, and he now focuses on an MR compatible PET system architecture and design. He has numerous publications and patents in this field.
