Tyler Horvath

Tyler Horvath is a senior undergraduate student studying Astronomy at the University of Colorado, Boulder and works as a research assistant alongside Dr. Paul Hayne at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics. He is interested in understanding the composition, structure, and properties of planetary surfaces with the goal to support human and robotic exploration, find ideal targets for in-situ resource utilization, and to better understand surface processes and evolution. His research focuses on creating thermophysical models and analyzing thermal data for lunar pits and caves, but he also assists with the research of Mars' polar deposits and cratering processes on Europa.
