Tyler S. Ralston

Tyler S. Ralston (A'98) was born in Dayton, OH, in 1977. He received the B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Dayton, Dayton, in 2000, and the M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2004. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree at UIUC. Prior to his masters studies, he was with the medical products sector at Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, OH. He holds a fellowship at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, UIUC. His research interests include both signal processing and inverse problems for optical biomedical imaging. Mr. Ralston has previously served on the board for the student chapter of IEEE and is currently president of the student chapter of the OSA at UIUC. He earned a “Key Contributor” award for production of a medical instrument while with the medical products sector at Battelle Memorial Institute.
