Bio
Vassilios Kappatos received the Ph.D. degree in nondestructive testing from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 2007, and the M.Eng. degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the University of Patras, in 2002.
He has been a Key Researcher on many funded research projects. He has authored over 80 publications in international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. He is also a Referee of several international journals and conferences. Throughout his career, he has lectured a broad range of subjects in the area of applied engineering both in U.K. and Greece. His research interests include structural integrity, nondestructive testing, structural health monitoring, signal processing, pattern recognition, and material behavior.
