Myself, Dr. Vinayakan R., native of Kottayam, Kerala state, India. Currently, I am serving as Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry (Research centre under MG university, Kerala), NSS Hindu college (Nationally accredited with ‘A’ grade), Changanacherry, Kerala. I did my PG in Analytical Chemistry at CMS College, Kottayam followed by PhD at Photosciences and photonics, National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST-CSIR), Thiruvananthapuram- 695019, Kerala, India, under the guidance of Professor Dr. K. George Thomas (Dean, IISER, Thiruvananthapuram). I was Raman Indo-US post-doctoral fellow at Applied & Engineering Physics (AEP), Cornell University during 2014-15. My research interests include study of quantum dot based bioimaging, biosensing and photovoltaics systems. Including my first research article in Journal of Physical Chemistry C, so far, I have 14 international publications.
