Her special research interests include advanced breast imaging (ultrasound and MRI) for the measurement of tumor response and the imaging characteristics of specific molecular subtypes of breast cancer. She is part of a multidisciplinary team that pioneered advanced axillary imaging to facilitate “targeted axillary dissection” after neoadjuvant chemotherapy and reduce post-surgical morbidity for women, and she co-leads a protocol that aims to eliminate surgery for exceptional breast cancer responders to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. More recently, her research interests focus on the role of artificial intelligence for breast cancer risk prediction in different subsets of women, particularly women with a personal history of breast cancer, and on the exploration of AI breast ultrasound algorithms to improve diagnosis of breast masses. She is passionate about supporting academic and professional growth through mentoring, coaching, and sponsorship. She assumed the role of Director, Global Learning Center (Indonesia) affiliated with the Radiological Society of North America to further champion and expand opportunities for global health and global breast imaging in low and middle-income countries.
