My main research interests include coal and its associated minerals, paleoclimate characteristics in coal-forming period, development of coal measure source rocks, oil and gas geological exploration, sedimentology, etc. At present, the development and hydrocarbon generation of the Paleogene coal measure source rocks in the South China Sea, the genetic mechanism of ferritic nodules in the coal measures and their palaeoclimate effects are being studied.
