He was the principal investigator or was responsible for more than 50 research projects, including the Major Project of National Social Science Fund, the Major Research Plan of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Science–technology Support Plan Project of China, etc. He has published more than 40 papers on main international journals and conferences, such as AAAI, Information Sciences, Knowledge-Based Systems, SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems and so on.
