主要研究痕量毒害性有机污染物的环境生物地球化学。具体内容包括痕量有机污染物的分析方法、来源、时空分布、环境行为特别是生物富集、食物链传递与代谢。承担和参与欧盟国际合作项目、国家、省部级项目19项,发表论文200多篇,论文SCI他引超过5100次,H指数44. 中国环境科学学会环境化学分会委员。
