His main research focus is in the area of immunobiology of regulatory T cells, dendritic cells during immune response to autoantigens and transplantation antigens utilization an integrated basic, clinical and translational approach. His efforts also have focused on understanding the basic processes that control T cell activation and tolerance. He proposed several new approaches for cell-based immunosuppression/tolerance induction protocols and gene therapy in transplant rejection.
