Xiao Li

Xiao Li received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in mechanical engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering with McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. He has worked on liver tissue engineering, 3-D microfabrication, and biomaterial fabrication, as a master’s student. As a doctoral student, he has been working on paper-based microfluidics for diagnoses, paper-based flexible electronics and physical sensors, and novel nanomaterial-based biosensors. He received several awards, including the Outstanding Student Leader of XJTU, National Aspiration Scholarship, the McGill Engineering International Tuition Award, the Fellowship Award of NSERC-CREATE Training Program in Integrated Sensor Systems, and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad.
