His research interests include modeling, nano-fabrication, and characterization of metamaterials, nanophotonics, transformation optics devices, and computational electromagnetics. Dr. Ni is a member of the Optical Society of America (OSA), the American Physical Society (APS), the Materials Research Society (MRS), and the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE). He is the founder and president of the OSA Purdue University Student Chapter.
