Xulin Yang

Dr. Xulin Yang is currently employed as an Associate Professor/Vice Dean of the Department of Materials Engineering in Chengdu University and the Chief Scientist in Wuxi Jiade Composite Material Co., Ltd. He is a member of young editorial board for journal of Sustainable Structures. He won Vebleo Fellow and the Outstanding Reviewer Award from Institute of Physics. He is also a member of the expert group of Chengdu Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Chemical Society, Chengdu New Materials Society. He received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2018. Over the past 12 years, his research mainly focuses on the special polymers containing nitrile groups—the thermoplastic of poly (arylene ether nitrile) (PEN) and the thermosetting of phthalonitrile (PN) resin, including the molecular synthesis, process optimization, processing modification, pilot scale-up of these polymers. Various functional composites PEN- and PN-based with high-temperature resistant, fire-retardant, dielectric, or fluorescent properties have been also designed and realized. In the nitrite-related polymer field, he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and awarded over 10 China Patents. He is also one of the authors for the book entitled “poly (arylene ether nitrile)”. His work was highly recognized by the peers and cited more than 1000 times. His h-index is 18.
