He received a Cottrell Scholar Award from Research Corporation in 2008, an NSF Career Award from National Science Foundation in 2010, and a CAPA Biomatik Distinguished Faculty Award in 2014. Commissioner Brooks of the Franklin County of Ohio also award Prof. Yiying Wu a Commissioner’s Award for his contribution in renewable energy technologies. In 2011, he was ranked #6 worldwide on the Times Higher Education “Top Materials Scientists of the Past Decade”. In 2014, Wu group founded KAir Battery, LLC for the research and development of KAir battery technology. In 2015, Dr. Wu was named 40 under 40 by Midwest Energy News. Prof. Yiying Wu is also an associate editor for ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces.
