Yongbin Lin(林勇斌)

Yongbin Lin received the B.S. degree in chemical engineering and photosensitive chemistry from the East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China, in 1992 and the M.S. degree in applied optics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, IN, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in optical science and engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2007. He is a Research Scientist of the Nano and Micro Device Center (NMDC) at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His research interests to date lie in planar lightwave circuit integration using air-trench bends and splitters, and waveguide chemical and bio sensors based on the refractive index variation detection.
