Yong Hyup Kim

Yong Hyup Kim received the B.S. degree in aeronautical engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1979 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1986 and 1989, respectively. He was a Research Scientist with Korea Institute of Aeronautical Technology of Korean Airlines, from 1979 to 1984, a Research Associate for Computational Mechanics Section, Structures Department, Lockheed Palo Alto Research Laboratory, from 1989 to 1991, and a Research Scientist for the Center for Computational Structures Technology, National Aeronautics and Space Administration Langley Research Center, from 1991 to 1995. Since 1995, he has been with Seoul National University as a Professor with the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include carbon-nanotube-based micro/nanoelectromechanical systems, bio/chemical sensors, high-current electron beam sources, micromachined sensors, and actuators.
