Yu Jia

https://yjia.weebly.com/ Yu Jia is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Aston University. Before joining Aston, he was a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and then Associate Professor at the University of Chester for 4 years, where he led the Smart Microsystems research. Yu Jia read PhD in Engineering from University of Cambridge and MEng Electromechanical Engineering from University of Southampton. His main research interests include vibration dynamics, energy harvesting, MEMS, smart composites and smart systems. He has published 68 journal papers and international conference papers, and filed 12 patent applications. He is a co-founder of a spin-off company 8power Ltd, he is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and he sits on the steering board of the Energy Harvesting Network.
