Zhuosen Wang

Zhuosen Wang University of Maryland College Park, College Park, MD 20742 USA (zhuosen.wang@nasa.gov). Dr. Wang has been an Assistant Research Scientist at the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC), University of Maryland College Park and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, USA. He received a B.S. degree in geography from Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, 2003, and a Ph.D. degree in geography from Boston University, Boston, MA, USA, in 2011. His areas of interest include monitoring energy services in human settlements using Suomi-NPP VIIRS nighttime light products, modeling and evaluation of the anisotropic characteristics and albedo of the land surface, monitoring the vegetation phenology and climate change, and canopy structure estimation using optical remote sensing and Lidar. He has authored more than 50 publications. He co-leads the CEOS Land Product Validation (LPV) Subgroup Surface Radiation/Albedo Product Validation focus area and serves as Chair of the IEEE Geoscience & Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia Chapter.
