Zaid Badr

Zaid Badr DDS, MS, MFD RCSI is a clinical assistant professor and the director of the Technological Innovation Center at Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Badr earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Jordan, where he also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program and a Comprehensive Clinical Course in Dental Implantology in collaboration with the German Society for Oral Implantology. While practicing in the private sector, he achieved his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Subsequently, Dr. Badr pursued his residency in Operative Dentistry and Biomaterials at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained a Master of Science degree in Operative Dentistry. Dr. Badr worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center before taking on the role of Comprehensive Patient Management Group Leader at Marquette University. Currently, Dr. Badr serves as the director of the Technological Innovation Center at Marquette University School of Dentistry. His primary research and clinical interests revolve around digital dentistry, artificial intelligence applications in dentistry, dental education, color in dentistry, dental zirconia, and bonding to dental ceramics. His expertise and contributions to the field have been recognized internationally, as he has presented his research and delivered lectures at several national and international conferences. In acknowledgment of his commitment to dentistry and teaching, Dr. Badr has received accolades such as the Spurgeon Award Certificate of Appreciation from the DDS class of 2021 at the University of North Carolina and the Faculty Recognition Award from the DDS class of 2025 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. These honors reflect his dedication to advancing dental knowledge and patient care through continuous innovation and research.
