He works mainly on the causes and management of ambient particulate matter pollution, especially for the polluted regions like urban China. Currently he has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers with 16 papers in international SCI journals such as Environmental International and Environmental Science and Technology. The total SCI other-citation times is 731 and 5 papers were ESI highly cited. Meanwhile, he contributed to the academic community actively. He hosted the fourth international conference of "Air Benefit and Cost and Attainment Assessment System", served as a committee member of the AWMA Annual Aerosol Conference in the United States, participated as a technical backbone in the air quality assurance of 2015 Beijing anti-Japanese war military parade and Shanghai 2010 World Expo. He is also the journal reviewers for Journal of Environmental Management, Science of the Total Environment, Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, Atmospheric Environment, etc.
