Bio
Dr. Cheng-Ying Chen received the Ph.D. degree in Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics at National Taiwan University in 2012. He was a visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) from 2011-2012 and a postdoctoral research fellow at University of California at Berkeley (USA) and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 2013-2014. After 2015, he was an Assistant Research Scholar of Center for Condensed Matter Sciences (CCMS) at National Taiwan University (NTU). Besides, he leaded the subgroup of earth-abundant thin-film solar cells in Advanced Material Laboratory in NTU from 2015-2020/01. After 2020/02, he joined Ming Chi University of Technology as an Assistant Professor in Department of Materials Engineering & Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies (CPTFT). After 2022/08, he moved to National Taiwan Ocean University as an Assistant Professor in Department of Optoelectronics and Materials Technology. .His research interests include Energy Materials Thin-film Growth, Semiconductor Device Physics and Technology, Photovoltaics, and Energy Harvesting.
