Bio
Klaus Janschek received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. (Dr.techn.) degree in control systems engineering from Technische University at Graz, Graz, Austria, in 1979 and 1982, respectively. From 1982 to 1995, he held industrial positions in control systems development (fatigue and vehicle test systems, aerospace guidance, navigation, and control). Since 1995 he is a full professor of automation engineering at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and affiliated faculty member at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technische University Dresden in Dresden, Germany. He held visiting positions as a Scholar/Professor with Stanford University, USA (2005); Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianpolis, Brazil (2009, 2012, 2014, 2016); East China University for Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai, China (2012-2015, 2017-2021) and Zhejiang University (ZJU), Hangzhou, China (2016-2021). He is author of the book Mechatronic Systems Design (New York, NY, USA: Springer, 2012). His research interests include guidance-navigation-control, robotics, optomechatronics, and mechatronic systems design
